Challenge

Discuss/Describe a time in your life when you have had to wait upon the Lord for him to act or answer. Sometimes we forget that as a believer we are on God’s time, not our own. Challenge yourself this week to be patient and still when waiting for God to answer prayer, or act in a situation. Realize that you are called to trust and obey God. Waiting on God’s timing is evidence that you really trust that he wants
the best for you and will answer you. Psalm 46:10 says “Cease striving and know that I am God...” Relax and wait on God this week.

Prayer

Dear Lord, by the power of the Holy Spirit please grant us the strength and courage to trust You in the midst of anxiety. Settle our hearts with the comfort and the peace of knowing that You are in control and that you are sovereign over all of creation. Help us to greet one another with comfort and peace as it is written in numbers chapter six, “The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.” Give us trust in You and peace through Your Gospel we pray. In Jesus' name, Amen.
